WWE Greatest Royal Rumble: Surprises And Best Moments From Main Event, Daniel Bryan Breaks Records

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia hosted a new WWE event called Greatest Royal Rumble. The show took place in the evening but aired during the morning and afternoon in North America. This was part of a new 10-year contract with the country in support of Vision 2030, an economic and social reform policy.

The show had every men's title on the line for the evening, and there were actually title changes at this show. In addition, the Undertaker returned to WWE--after his recent Wrestlemania match against John Cena--to take on Rusev in a Casket Match. However, the main event for the evening was the 50-Man Royal Rumble match, which was the largest match of its kind in the company's history.

Because of the scale of the match, there were plenty of surprises and fun moments during it, which lasted over an hour and 15 minutes. Here are some of those moments, which included quite a few NXT callups during the event. We've also got full Greatest Royal Rumble results, which includes every entrant in the Royal Rumble match.

Mike Kanellis (#6)

Entering at #6 was Mike Kanellis. While he competed at Wrestlemania 34 in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal, he hasn't been on weekly television in six months. Recently, Kanellis was traded to Raw, which was announced on his Instagram.

Hiroki Sumi (#7)

When entrant #7 came out during the main event and was announced as "Kiroki Sumi," a collective "What?" was asked around the world. For those unfamiliar--which is almost everyone watching the event--Sumi is a sumo wrestler who competes under the name Hishofuji Hiroki in Japan.

Hornswoggle (#12)

Coming in at #12 was the former anonymous Raw general manager Hornswoggle. The last time we saw him in WWE 2016.

Tucker Knight (#24)

The first NXT entrant of the evening was Tucker Knight, who came to the ring as #24. On the Wednesday night show, he teams with Otis Dozovic under the tag name "Heavy Machinery."

Rey Mysterio (#28)

It may have been revealed prior to the Rumble, but seeing Rey Mysterio enter the Rumble at #28 still felt like a shock.

Roderick Strong (#34)

One half of the NXT tag team, Undisputed Era, Roderick Strong came to the ring as entrant #34.

Babatunde (#37)

At #37, NXT wrestler Babatunde entered the Royal Rumble. Prior to his involvement with WWE, Babatunde was part of the Minnesota Viking's preseason program.

Titus Takes A Tumble

Entering at #39 was Titus O'Neil. On his way to the ring, he took a tumble and slid under the ring.

Enjoy Another Angle

Here's another angle of Titus tripping.

Dan Matha (#40)

Coming in at #40 was Dan Matha. Most notably, he worked with Samoa Joe in NXT, and Matha appears at NXT live events.

The Great Khali (#45)

Announced prior to the event, The Great Khali came to the ring as entrant #45. He chopped down a couple opponents before being eliminated.

Chris Jericho (#50)

By the time entrant #50 rolled around, we had all forgotten about Jerchio being in this match. He came to the ring in a ridiculous, light-up scarf. We'd expect nothing less from the G.O.A.T.

Daniel Bryan Breaks Records

Daniel Bryan broke the record for most time spent in a single Royal Rumble match. Previously held by Rey Mysterio, Bryan came in at #1 and lasted one hour and 15 minutes before being eliminated.

Braun Strowman Wins

Coming into the match at #41, Braun Strowman ended up winning the Greatest Royal Rumble match, which came with a trophy as well as the title.
